The Chinese Consulate General in Gwangju
The Chinese Consulate General in Gwangju was established in 2007 with the office of the Consulate General in Gwangju under the Chinese Embassy in Korea, and was promoted to Consulate General in 2009. The jurisdiction is “Honam region” including Gwangju Metropolitan City, Jeollanam-do, and Jeollabuk-do. From its opening to the present, it has maintained a close cooperative relationship with Honam University, and until now, the building owned by the Honam University Foundation is being used for a fee. The Chinese Consulate General in Gwangju Zhou promotes mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Korea and China, protects the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and businesses in the jurisdiction, and provides high quality and efficient consular services to Chinese and foreign personnel.
