About Program

  • In accordance with the regulations on the operation of joint dual degree programs, 2+2 dual degree programs are operated with Shanghai University and Zhejiang University of Science and Technology in China, which have signed a dual degree agreement with our university.
  • Students from our department of Chinese language and other departments who have a dual degree requirement will be able to obtain a degree from both universities if they complete the second year of study at the university after enrollment and the remaining two years in China to meet the graduation requirements of the university.
  • This program is subject to mutual agreements with universities with foreign academic exchange agreements, so dispatched students can complete major courses at sister universities and receive credits from our university.

Selection requirements

  • Shanghai University:
    • Those who have completed the 4th semester or are expected to complete the Chinese department and have HSK level 4 or higher, and other departments with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher in all subjects and have HSK level 5 or higher.
  • Zhejiang University of Science and Technology
    • Those who have completed the 4th semester or are expected to complete the Chinese department and have HSK level 4 or higher, and other departments with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher in all subjects and have HSK level 4 or higher.

      However, if there is a gap in the number of applicants for multiple degrees, they can be selected from those who have completed the 5th semester or who are expected to complete the course.

Selection procedure

  • Prospective candidates are selected every year from June to July, and the final selection is done in December of the year.
  • The Office of International Affairs selects students by establishing schedules and plans for implementing the dual degree system, and making final decisions with the approval of the president the university.

Tuition Payment

  • Students who have been granted a dual degree course can register at the university and other universities before the start of the semester, and the course will be accepted as the enrollment semester.
  • If the university is not registered and is expelled from the university, it will be automatically expelled from exchange university students.
  • Tuition fees for the dual degree program are paid to the designated university based on the agreement with the university and the exchange university.
  • Tuition fees for exchange universities can be paid separately later in the form of scholarships.
  • Tuition fees for semesters that extend beyond 8 semesters are paid to the university according to the tuition payment standards for students who have not graduated from the university, and tuition fees corresponding to the excess tuition fees of the exchange university are paid to the exchange university.
  • In addition to tuition, all expenses necessary for staying during the study period are borne by the person.

Credit recognition

  • Credits earned at an exchange university as a dual degree program are recognized within the range of three-quarters of the graduate credits of our university. However, if you have not obtained a degree from an exchange university, it is limited to one-half.

Credit recognition process

  • Students who are dispatched to multiple degrees must fill out an application for credit recognition within the range of credits per semester based on their own transcripts, then go through the Office of International Affairs with the consent of the dean and the dean, and receive credits according to the prescribed deliberation procedure at the Academic Affairs Department at the Office of Academic Affairs. recognition.

Determination of alternative recognized subjects

  • As for accredited subjects, it is a principle to select and accept similar subjects among the subjects that have been opened at the university for the past year. However, if there is no similar subject, the subject is recognized as a subject arranged in the subject manual of our university.
